I like that British synth Motown inspired sound that they have on this record. At the time the US weren't used to that kind of sound on the radio - I'm guessing.

A very good song! Probably my favorite Human League song. It hit number 18 on the Radio and Records chart.

It's always a toss up between whether this or (Keep Feeling) Fascination is my favorite Human League song.
Love the ooooh's in this one.
And the opening is killer...
The water shines
A pebble skips across the face
A dozen times
Then disappears, not a trace
Left behind
The thrower turns and walks away
A change of mind
Another start, a brand new day
Again, the back and forth between the leads is spot on. Albeit the girls are just singing oooh and ahhs.
