Boo! I absolutely detest this record. This ranks as the number one "most annoying/disliked" of all time on my charts (If I ever create one). It has that freestyle sound, yet again the entire project orginates in only the ATL.

I love it. It's so cheap sounding though.

I like it. It reminds me of "Let Me Love You Down" by INOJ but not as good. My pop station plays both. :)

I love this. The sound and lyrics are so corny but they don't try to hide it. SoSoDef produced some great songs at the beginning, especially most of the SoSoDef Bass All Stars Vol. 2 CD (this was on I & I think a remix was on II)... what the hell has happened since.

The slow part at the beginning samples "Just The Two of Us" by Grover Washington, Jr.
When this song was on the chart, Rick Dees did a list of the Top 3 songs with the worst drum machines. One of them was "One More Try" by Timmy T, and #1 was "My Boo."
In the only instance I remember, Rick Dees listed the droppers the week this song fell off in early '97. He said they were going to countdown heaven, except for this one which went to coundtown hell. :)

This song is not bad but it is not that good either. I guess its the type of song you never search for but if you hear it you don't change the station

During that week the "Grease Megamix" went to countdown heaven.

I actually like this one back in 1996. My neighbor and I use to jam to this one in the summer. It brings back memories of my teen years.
The beat was simple as the lyrics were too, less is better sometimes.

:o Oh Snaps...This was my jam!! If you check out some of these So So Def Bass Allstar comps, you can hear what Lil Jon's production sounded like before the "YEAAHHHH's and the "WHAAATTT's". It was much better IMO.

Is this the same "My Boo" that Usher and Alicia Keys are doing? I remember this one but I haven't heard theirs yet. I've just seen it on the charts.

I don't like it. Not even the least bit catchy.

I used to like it, but now, for some reason, this song annoys me.

This was my jam back in the day! I heard this one a lot at the school dances.
It has been ages since I have heard this one.

I liked the other remix that came out. The one posted here is good too. But the one they used to play on the radio was very 80's freestyle-ish and that's the one I preferred.
But this is a good track.

I agree with the thread title, this is indeed the REAL "My Boo". Fun song.
