Not a bad song or anything, but I always thought it was overrated, as almost everyone else seemed to love it. The overplay probably ruined it a bit for me.

Always enjoyed this one. "I'm Like a Bird" was one I wasn't into because I found her voice annoying and rather nasally in that context, but this one was always easy for me to enjoy. Her songs were rather fresh for pop at the time.

I definitely liked this more than the lead single. I just knew she had one hit wonder written all over her after that one, so was glad to see this take off.

I first heard this when it became her second video to hit the MuchMusic Countdown. That was in the Spring, I think (it was when ILAB was becoming huge in the States). It was flying upward and looked like it would be her second straight video to top the countdown, but once it hit #2 it suddenly turned and plunged downward. >:(
...
The original video is not the one most of you are familiar with - that one takes place mostly in a field on a sunny day or in some kind of hut. She has a guitar with her in the hut. It's pretty much back-and-forth between places throughout the whole song. So given that there really wasn't much to that video, I can understand why a new one was shot for the States.
Note the MuchMusic credits at the beginning of the clip. ;) This song was probably my first first-hand experience with songs getting multiple videos.

If she came back with this sound now, she'd probably do well.

The Timbaland remix with Ms Jade peaked at #55 on the R&B chart.

This songβs opening never fails to draw me in. Nelly Furtadoβs music is kinda hit or miss for me but I still really dig this one.

This was played on 103.5 Kiss FM, 101.9 the Mix, and B96 when I was younger. It was and remains Nelly Furtado's best song.

I liked this song. The urban mix with Timbaland and Ms. Jade got a lot of radio airplay here. But I really liked the Dataluxe version. For the mixshows, when they would play the dance mixes, that was the version they played. I remember hearing the Timbaland remix on Power 106 in LA back in late 2001.

I love this song more than anything. Great record. I still agree a decade later. This taste...
