Yes, as pop radio was overwhelmed with teen acts, Urban decided to welcome in artists like young Sammie with "I Like It." The song peaked #9 in March 2000 and spent 19 weeks on the Urban chart.

I think I liked this song, but for the life of me I can't remember now how it sounds.

I liked this one but I got bored with it quick because they played it too often. I think I liked this song, but for the life of me I can't remember now how it sounds. Here's a sample. www.towerrecords.com/product.aspx?pfid=1825302(it's the second song)

I remember laughing at this girl who called into KZQZ 95.7 to request it, and she was like, "I like it." And the DJ said, "Yes, I know you like it, but what song do you want to hear?" "I like it." Over and over. Later that night I found out it was my friend. But she didn't actually call in to request that. The DJ asked her to do that after she asked him some question. So it was all a fake request just to get some laughs! I liked it.

I'm pretty sure this didn't even make Top 50 or get a single spin on MTV.

I first heard this around the time it peaked. Atlanta radio was all over this song. Not only did I like it, I loved it to death...Brings back middle school memories.

I thought this was a hit. I didn't have cable when this was out. Hell, I was outside playing like a normal kid, so I was not looking at the billboard charts.

They didn't play this on MTV because I think it was exclusive to The Box. It was played on Nickelodeon a few times though (as was his follow up, Crazy Things I Do).

I remember this song when it was out. I never heard it on the radio. I think I just saw the video on Disney Channel or something a bunch of times. Years later was surprised to find out it was actually a decent hit

I love the song. BET played the piss out of it. I still play his album too.
Dallas Austin really did his thing on the production side.
