This was a catchy tune from the early 90s that didn't last for very long. It was her second-to-last Top 40 hit I believe.

This song didn't really do anything for me. In fact, I found it a tad annoying, so I wasn't disappointed that it petered out just inside the Top 20 and disappeared quickly.
Her last Top 40 hit was "Losin' Myself" and that barely made the chart, debuting at #40 in early 1993 and disappearing the next week.

"This So-Called Miracle" was the best single from the Anything Is Possible album. Sadly that song tanked heh.
As for the song Anything Is Possible, it is average. She tried to be hot in the video but it didn't work.
Now you mention "Losin' Myself" -- that was a hot video. Nice Debbie. Nice.

I actually didn't find this one to be catchy in the least bit. It's worse than anything she released from her first two albums.

I actually like this song. It had a hint of R&B there, I liked it then and I certainly like it now. I think it was produced by Motown's Lamont Dozier.

I was a huge Deb head at the time, and remember feeling completely lost when Anything Is Possible hit the radio. She took a massive leap creatively with that third album and left most of her fanbase behind. It took a long time to really appreciate how many solid songs there were on that disc.

My favorite Debbie Gibson songs were "Foolish Beat" and "Lost In Your Eyes". I actually liked most of her songs from "Electric Youth" (the title track and "Shades Of The Past" were the two songs I didn't like). I was disappointed that her next album, which contained the song in question, didn't contain as many good songs, although I liked "One Hand, One Heart". I wish that song had been released instead of that annoyance called "Anything Is Possible". It might not have done anything at Pop, but it sounds AC-friendly.

I distinctly remember its top 40 chart run. 40-32-28-24-21-22-off. That song really plummeted when it reached its peak. Haven't heard it since, but I didn't really care a whole lot for it.

This went to #26 on the Hot 100 in 1990. From the Gold album of the same name.

I saw her in concert too earlier this year and I was also disappointed that she didn't sing it.

Lamont Dozier was the wrong collaborator for DG. She shouldve stuck with the sunny dance pop she had been doing. It wasn't six months after this semi flopped and the album tanked I started seeing cutout copies of it at Kmart for 1.99. On an impulse I bought it and was underwhelmed with maybe the exception of One Step Up and Another Brick Falls. The next album was an improvement but the whole stripper vibe was wrong and everyone had moved on teen pop by then.

"Anything Is Possible" was and is SOOOOOOOOO bland. The Up With People/You Can Do Anything vibe should've stopped with Electric Youth. That third album was overlong and lacked killer hooks like the OOTB era. It's almosty like she regressed sonically from the first album which sounded perfectly adult and universal into more juvenile themes on the 2nd then serious artist take me serious please here. Body Mind And Soul would've been better as the follow up album to EY instead but Teen Pop was over by Fall 1990 anyway. I picked this up for $1.99 at Kmart too and was very underwhelmed by it except One Step Ahead. Another Brick Falls got close but plateau's early with no real climax lyrically or sonically to it. Still love the early stuff and Losin' Myself though.....
