The title of that song says it all in terms of what people think of her. So many people hate her yet there are way more who love her.

I really liked "9 To 5", and I LOVED The Ordinary Boys remix with her. Excellent. I wonder how this'll do. I heard she's the first non-American to be picked up on the label.

Jay-Z is the one who brought her over here and thinks she is gonna be HUGE! He thought the same with Rihanna and look at her now!

This is hot! The chorus is so fun. 'If you love me, then thank you! If you hate me, then fuck you!'.

It's being used on those Verizon Chocolate commercials. Totally took me off guard, but I'm glad that can be used to expose her.

Just returned from work and my boss gave me a copy of this promo. The Top 40 Version is different in that the chorus says "If you love me then thank you!, If you hate me, then, I HATE YOU!"
Meh. I don't know which one I like better. Also it says in the promo Dr. Luke is involved in producing this. Hot track!

I would love to see this get big here....
grime in the US? I don't know
I'm an old-school grassroots fan of hers, haha. I have all her unreleased stuff as well as the EP.
I want her to do well!
She has a better shot than any other UK rapper, including MIA.

I love this song! I heard it on the local Rhythmic station. I hope US radio gives this artist a chance. The track is so in your face HOT! "If you love me than thank you and if you hate me than FUCK OFF!" This girl's brilliant, lol.

Did Ciaria's new song rip-off the music from this song? The little electronic beats in the background sound very similar?

Yeah, now that you mention it - this DOES sound like a Ci Ci song (at least the background music). "Ah can't dance and ah really can't sing. Ah can only do one think and thats be Lady Sov--er--eign!"

This is 100% by far, easily, absolutely no doubt the worst track to make the chart in the last 5 years. That is, if it makes the chart - God could possibly be good to us and prevent this literal train wreck of words and noises from reaching the hallowed ground in the top 50.
Lyrics awful, delivery awful, she burps in the song!
I thought I'd listen to it because of the praise it was receiving in this post, and suffered until she burped then I could hear no more. I tried to listen again just a minute ago and really almost threw up. In other words, I'd rather listen to "London Bridge," "Lala" and "Call Me When You're Sober" all in a row rather than listen to this mess once.
The instrumental portion is catchy, however nothing beyond that. I didn't feel like wanting to dance or anything.
The lyrics are stupid!
At first it sounded like "If you love me, then fuck you...If you hate me, then fuck you." Although who would expect good diction with a song like this?
The part about being the biggest midget and being english "try n deport me" are ridiculous and throw in a burp and you have "worst song ever."
I'll have to pray for the people involved (lol) in this horrible, horrible trash. Words can't describe...

I love how pretentious some people get about music. Makes me glad I have a sense of humor.

Eminem has rapped about ridiculous shit quite frequently. This isn't all Lady Sovereign is capable of doing (check out Hoodie and the subsequent basement jaxx remixes if you need proof), but luckily unlike you, she knows how to have fun and those of us who don't take things too seriously can appreciate the flow, hot beat, and humor in this song.

Hahahahhahaha...You got me, I don't know how to have fun! Oh god, this post was hilarious. Maybe she does have good stuff beyond this, I'm not willing to waste time getting it and listening. Eminem is male, it's different, and if he rapped about having long nasty black nose hairs and male equivelents of her "hairy armpits," burping, etc. I guess since I don't know how to have fun, you don't know how to appreciate true, real, talented music.

So would you listen to the song if she rapped about getting her nails done, acting polite, etc. I think the reason why so many people like this song is beause it's so bold and different to what's out today. She sort of reminds me of Missy, in a way.
