Karen Clark Sheard released this a few years ago. It was written and produced by Missy Elliot who did an incredible job. The instrumental was almost like a revived "You Brought The Sunshine". It's one of my favorite solo tracks by Karen. She's had way better vocal moments though.

Another Karen joint that could've been an R&B smash!
I agree the instumental does sound like an update on "Sunshine", Missy put her feet in that beat. I love the harmonies Karen and Tweet do. The playful banter with Twinkie (Karen older sister was good to hear.) When Karen recorded this she was just coming off her near-death experience. Karen has had MANY better vocal performances, but I like toned down Karen, it shows her versatility, we ALL LOVE hype, riffing, running, note shattering Karen. I think my favorite from this strictly studio release was "So Good" and "Secret Place". The album to me can be listen too all the way through without changing the tracks.
Karen's newest album tentatively titled "Authority" on Atlantic Records is due late this year. It's another live recording with a few studio tracks. It was recorded back in May.
F.Y.I - Yolanda Adams' "Be Blessed" was orginally recorded by Karen for her 2nd Chance album. Y'all need to hear her version OMG. I wish could post it for everyone.

If you have it, you can post it since it's unreleased.

I haven't heard this song in a long time. I used to hear it on the gospel station (WPZE) all the time. Missy did her thing on this one.
