I had no idea that the 65 year old suffered a stroke last year until yesterday when I research him and his accomplishments. On the lighter side of things, this was THE CUT! Some folks weren't too keen on this club/disco classic but I was! And unfortunately it was his last Top 40 hit.

Isaac Hayes had a knack for taking older songs and reworking them so that they were so unique, so changed, and yet still so great, you couldn't help but appreciate them as entirely new works of art. This song is a great example of that.

This is one of his bigger hits, but it's not one of my favorites by him. He had long since peaked for the most part.
