I'm a big, big fan of The Hollies, but the only reason I find this song sad is that it's one of their few hits that I find very hard to stomach. Ranks low with me.
This song drags on and on, and once it finally peaks, it ends right away. I still like it though.
1. Of Monsters and Men - Aliigator 2. Drugdealer - Fools 3. The Cranberries - Wake Me When It’s Over 4. Two Door Cinema Club - Talk 5. Taylor Swift - ME!

That's exactly the way I feel about one of their other hits, "The Air That I Breathe". For some reason, that one makes me want to cry. This one's pretty good, though.

I felt the same way about "The Air I Breathe" just as well, even when Simply Red remade it, but not as tearful as the Hollies mix however.
On the lighter side of things it hit number one in the UK in the Spring of 1988 when they reissued the single..... Billy Medley also remade this that same year and it flopped. His remake was smooth as all ghett out, and I am going to look for it.
