US Alternative Scene This Time In '92

One of Morrissey's greatest singles ever at #1 and it was never even released in the UK! :o Had a gorgeous black & white video though, and this song is one of several that is just a classic to me.

There are too many songs to name that I also adore on this chart - so immensely diverse! Mainly Dyslexic Heart, A Girl Like You, Almost Gold, & 100%.

I was 2 when these were out. I'm more of a 90's pop fan, but I do love some Alternative. I recently spotted cd-singles for "Even Better Than The Real Thing" and "Walking On Broken Glass" at a local used record store, I might buy them next time.

There were some excellent songs on the 1992 chart. It is nice to see Morrissey, The Cure, Sonic Youth, Jesus & Mary Chain, P.J. Harvey, XTC and the Utah Saints in the top twenty.

It is too bad today's "alternative" music charts don't have similar quality of songs and artists. >:(
