I'm more of a pop guy, but I was compiling some discographies today and I ran across "Core" by STP so I decided to play "Plush," which I remember I hated when it came out, but now I'm glad I rediscovered it. I have played it like three times today.

A staple on alternative radio. Was often heard on Q101 when I was younger. I also heard this song featured on the Radio X station in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. One of this group's best songs and probably my all-time favorite from them.

28 years ago today, Stone Temple Pilots scored the first of six No.1 hits on the Album Rock Tracks chart thanks to "Plush," the second single from the band's 1992 debut album "Core." "Plush" won the "Best Hard Rock Performance" trophy at the 1994 Grammy Awards.
