This is a good song, although using inverse points, it was one of the weakest # 1 songs in recent history. Still, it came in at # 18 for the year in 2000 on the Pop Radio Top 20 chart.

I haven't heard this in quite some time but I loved it a lot, even when it was overplayed.

I still hear this one a lot on a couple of the local Hot AC's... spent 8 weeks at #1 on my personal fav's list... and was my #1 overall song of 2000...

Really liked this song, but I preferred "If I Am."

The song is okay. In addition to being a musician, one of them was a teacher who taught one of my cousins.

This song always makes me think of Lizzie McGuire. They played it in the episode where Lizzie had to wear that awful sweater on picture day. I assumed the picked it because of the "She looks so bad in photographs" line.

This is one of very few songs I remember growing up with during my childhood; keep in mind that I was surrounded by solely country music back then (with a few small exceptions).

It was some fifteen years later that I realized that a line from this song was modified to be suitable for radio. The song made so much more sense after that.

Good song. I remember thinking "cried a river and drowned the whole world" sounded really dumb at first. I was only 12 lol. But I grew to like the song and still do. It's classic at this point. I really liked "If I Am" as well. That definitely should have done better. Even "Good Friend" from the next album should've done better. Not the best song but could've been at least a top 20 on Hot AC

Cheesy, especially the chorus. That said, it's not horrible. It's actually decent. Was played on Q101, 101.9 the Mix, and defunct Kiss FM 92.7/92.5 in my market when it came out. I remember hearing a clip of this song used in a commercial for one of those stations back then. music video www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIANBamMgas

Did several searches and couldn't find anything.
One of the biggest one0hti wonders from the 2000's. The song hit #1 on Pop, #2 Hot AC and #6 on the Hot 100 in 2000.
According to the Pop2Kountdown, lead singer John Hampson is now a schoolteacher in Long Island.
