Here's another example of one of those acts that were huge in the 90's but have since been forgotten in the new millennium. I mean, Boyz II Men were a phenomenon; definitely the best R&B act of all time IMO. They've still been producing music, but their sound just doesn't go with today's urban market.
What are your favorite tracks by the group? For me, it's "The End Of The Road" and "On Bended Knee". Damn, I still get sentimental when I hear these tunes. And who can forget their collaboration with Mariah Carey? That's gotta be the biggest collaboration of all time, not to mention one of the biggest hits of the 90's.

"One Sweet Day" is my favorite Boyz II Men song. ;) I have all of their CDs except their one from 2000. "Full Circle" is really bad though, save for my #1 personal chart hit "Relax Your Mind" featuring Faith Evans.
I also like "Vibin'" as far as solo singles go.

"On Bended Knee" was my favourite song when I was around 8. lol I used to listen to that cassette single so much.
I also like "End Of The Road" and "I'll Make Love To You." "One Sweet Day" was very good, but I overlistened to it in 2000, when I started downloading Mariah's old songs.

My favorite song of theirs has always been "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday", the original acapella version. After this song had been out for a couple of months my local station began playing an alternate version with background music. To me, that totally ruined the song, but of course the station kept on playing the new version until the day they dropped the song altogether.

I guess we'll see Boyz II Men back in stores soon. On October 7, Motown/UME Records will release "The Best of Boyz II Men". All these songs we've mentioned are aure to feature on the CD

Didn't they just release one before "Full Circle" came out? This is what puzzles me. In 2001, the group released The legacy, which was a compilation of their biggest hits. And now this new "greatest hits" album has (a) less songs than The Legacy and (b) only contains two different tracks (Thank You & Uhh Ahh). It is a waste of money to buy that Cd IMO, especially when I bought The Legacy for $9.72!!! Back on topic - Boyz II Men are one of my favorite groups of the 90s. I LOVE all of their songs and I really miss that kind of soul on the radio nowadays.

Huge and highly regarded act in the '90's and well-deserving of that status. I especially like "End of the Road", "Uhh Ahh", "Please Don't Go", "Lonely Heart", "Water Runs Dry", Thank You", and I'm sure there were others.

Boyz II Men were great. Super talented singers who sang great songs. "End of The Road" is a true classic. I also liked the underated "Four Seasons of Lonliness".
It's an absolute shame that the R&B charts have gone from music like this to the vulgar rubbish that it plays today.

I liked Boyz II Men, though their later material was not nearly as good as the early stuff. My favorite is probably "Thank You", followed by "Water Runs Dry".

These guys were pretty good. I hated "End Of The Road" at first because it came on the radio in the bus on our trip to Warshington in 6th grade, and I was the only one on the whole bus not singing along. As you may already know, it is very difficult to find something more annoying than the sound of kids singing. So it took me four years to like this song.
My favorites were "Thank You" and "Vibin'".
They still should and would be making hits today, except that they had to release songs like "The Song For Mama", and "Pass You By", which officially banished them to Urban AC.

"Four Seasons of Loneliness" and "On Bended Knee" are their best songs, by far

The reason why they've been "forgotten" where others like Guy, Bell Biv Devoe, Tony! Toni! Tone! or Jodeci are still fondly remembered is because BIIM never were the most button-pushing of acts to begin with. For the most part, they took New Jack Swing and made a safe, MOR, soccer mama version of it. In a way, their monstrous commercial success signaled the death knell for New Jack Swing, for what was once groundbreaking had now become tame, losing its cutting-edge appeal.
