![](http://proboards8.com/boardimages/thumbdown.gif) ![](http://proboards8.com/boardimages/thumbdown.gif) Two thumbs down for "Lucky"! Cheesiest song. The reporter sounds effects dont help either. I think it was total crap how she said the song wasn't about her.

I love it. The cheesiness is what makes it such a great feel good song. In the Top 5 of my favorite Britney singles.

The Dave Meyers-directed music video made the song much more bearable.

It's my favorite Britney Spears song ever. So disappointed that it ran out of gas as fast as it did (even more disappointed when Rick Dees skipped over it on his year end show >:() This song is so far the only Britney Spears song that topped my personal Top 30 chart. Contrary to Edf85, I give this song two thumbs up. Two thumbs down goes to crap like "You Drive Me Crazy".

I've always loved this song. ![:-[](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/embarrassed.png) It's my second favorite Britney song ever, behind "Sometimes".

So so cheesy. The song that killed her career at radio.

So so cheesy. The song that killed her career at radio. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) This definately didn't kill it that bad...this peaked at #8. What killed her career at radio was the entire "Britney" album!

One of her worst singles. I liked the video back then. I always found it to be overrated by her fans.

I felt sorry for Britney when I read the lyrics. Everyone thinks she has it all, but she still cries at night. :'( I use to listen to this when I wanted to cry too.

I liked this song enough, although it was far from her best. The song was very "cookie" cutter when Britney was apparently a "nice" girl.
Now she is a nice girl turned pop slut judging from her latest hit, "Toxic." Ms. Spears is all grown up now. :)

Very cheesy and artistically it's crap but who cares... I loved it anyway, very catchy!
The video is her worst ever though... it looks SO tacky and the sets look like they are about to fall apart.

i liked it for awhile... then the cheesyness of it all caught up to me, and i noticed how phony(sp?) Britney was, since then, the only way i liked a song by Brit, was because of a video (mainly "Stronger" ) but since "Britney" she has caught all the crap factor to which point i rather skip any of her songs then give her a shot... i hate her THAT much

Britney at her worst. I never, ever, liked her until she did I'm A Slave 4 U. Then she plummeted when she did I'm Not A Girl, then plummeted again with Overprotected, came back a little with boys, came back a little further with the VMA peformance, came back more with Me Against The Music (which provoked me to buy her cd) and now I think she's finally found a firm place in the pop world. In The Zone is a solid cd.

In my first post, I said that "Lucky" was so far the only Britney Spears song to top my personal chart. Not true; the last post reminded me that, in 2002, "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman" was number one on my chart too, as hard as that may seem to believe.

Honestly, I think Britney Spears is the only one of the three original teen pop singers (unfortunately I guess we have to throw Jessica simpson back into the mix now), whose music has improved as her career has progressed. It's just that she isn't the one responsible for the changes that actually made things better, so I don't give her much credit. But other than those 2nd album singles, which are all awful, I don't mind her music much at all.

Quite frankly one of the worst songs I've ever heard. I have no idea what Jive was thinking, and I still think this song is the reason she's had such limited success at radio up until now.

I liked it back then when I was a fan, but I can't stand it anymore.
Definitely one of her worst singles.

This one was very good. I'm glad she has the guts to release it with very cheesy lyrics it had.
