(This was formerly titled "Teenage Wasteland", until I was corrected on the actual title, which is "Baba O'Riley".)
I've been rediscovering the Who as of late and they had some pretty awesome music back in the day. This is my favorite of theirs. The beginning sounds like something you hear on a video game. I love the violin solo at the end of the song.

Excellent song, but the name is actually Baba O'Reilly.

"Baba O'Riley" if you want to be exact ... but yeah.

Some of the instrumentation on this always makes me think of Styx's "The Grand Illusion."
Good tune. I usually like 1960s and 1980s Who better than 1970s, but this is one of the better songs they made during that decade.

love this song, especially after it was featured on "One Tree Hill" last season.

I went ahead and changed the title of the thread. When I was researching the song, I was lead to believe that "Baba O'Riley" was a totally different song. I can see how people can be confused, given that there is a song created by Pete Townshend called "Teenage Wasteland", but it's not the same as "Baba O'Riley".

love this song, especially after it was featured on "One Tree Hill" last season. LOL, the first time I heard this song was on Dawson's Creek, Jen was standing on a chair singing it IIRC. Amazing song!

I've always felt that this one was a little overrated. I like the beginning though. I also can't tell golden eagle apart from crash46 anymore.

The song is a classic. My most recent memory of this song was watching the Who perform this at the September 11th tribute concert in New York. The Who stole the show that night.

I also can't tell golden eagle apart from crash46 anymore. How so? I know I tend to be picky about the music I like, but he and I are not joined at the hip. Plus, Steve's (crash46) an Ohio State fan; I'm not.

I was referring to the avatar. Yours is a little wider than his though.
