I was caught between pleasant surprise and dismay to discover there is no thread for this great song (well, according to our reliable search engine, there isn't). Well, I love Elastica, and here to underscore that sentiment is their biggest song, "Connection", which did very well in the US and the UK in the mid 90s. (#2 US Modern Rock, 1995). The opening riff is stolen from Wire's "Three Girl Rhumba".
I've always liked Justine's androgyny and wished more women aspired to present themselves in a similar visual context. Pared with the band's no-frills, tongue-in-cheek lyrical approach and angular pop, they were a fun, all-too-short-lived 90s phenomena worth remembering from time to time.
P.S. The show Trigger Happy TV used this as its theme.

You and your perennial nostalgia for things you haven't experienced firsthand.

I still listen to this song and the entire album actually. Both are excellent. I adore "Stutter" and "Car Song" as well. I literally remember my horny little 14yo self scrutinizing this video to see if they accidently showed one of the naked dudes frank and beans.

You and your perennial nostalgia for things you haven't experienced firsthand. I was alive and semi-cognizant in 1993-1995. The cheek! :o
