It seems like MTV missed the boat a bit on what was relevant in 1984. Several songs on the top twenty are ranked far higher than they merit, while some of the best and most lasting songs from that year are ignored. "Runner" was a top twenty video of the year? ??? "Dancing With Myself" was before 1984. I believe it was re-released in the summer of 1983 in the US, but it certainly was done long before 1984. That must be a mistake since "Rebel Yell" and "Eyes Without A Face" were big songs in 1984 I did not know Night Rider had a song. I guess that was a David Hasselhof influenced band that I missed.
