Sorry about that. I had the peak of the song incorrect, by 30 spots. No idea what I was thinking of. It has been corrected.

A few more songs to spend 1 week in the Top 40 but high: "Radio Romance" by Tiffany (1989 - #35 Billboard) "Roll Over Beethoven" by Chuck Berry (circa 1960? #29 Billboard, then went off the Top 40 the next week way down!) "La Grange" by ZZ Top (1974 - special estimated AT40 chart for June 29, 1974 instead of the Billboard chart since Casey Kasem did the recording of this show the same weekend as the June 22, 1974 AT40 episode along with a July 6, 1974 AT40 special because he was to go on vacation to Hawaii to do a "Hawaii Five-O" episode to be aired September-October 1974 on CBS, the July 13, 1974 AT40 had Harv Miller as guest host while Casey was still in Hawaii). "Let The Beat Hit 'Em" by Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam (1991 - Billboard #37) "Surfin' USA" by The Beach Boys (1974 reissue - Billboard #36)

Here's what I think is the complete list of one week wonders from 2004 to the present:
Jagged Edge, "Walked Outta Heaven" Hillary & Haylie Duff, "Our Lips are Sealed" Hillary Duff, "Wake Up" Destiny's Child, "Cater 2 U" Lifehouse, "Blind" Dem Franchize Boyz, "I Think They Like Me" Papa Roach, "Forever" Lily Allen, "Smile" Crime Mob, "Rock yo Hips"
Tell me if I missed any.

Matchbox Twenty also spent a single week in the top 40 at #38 with "These Hard Times".
Also one of my personal favourites spent a single week in the top 40 at #39, Santana f/ Michelle Branch "I'm Feeling You".
Mario had a single week at #39 with "How Could You".
Then of course, there was the obscure Toby Lightman, who had a week at #38 with "Devils and Angels".

On the R&R chart in 1988, Merry Clayton's "Yes" - the 4th single from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack - spent a week on the chart at #40. Nope - it spent 2 weeks there. See www2.uta.edu/hunt/charts/merry_clayton.htm

Herv may know this one: Boy Meets Girl had a song to peak at #39 on Billboard in 1985. I can't think of the name of the song for the life of me (I want to say it was called "Oh Girl" but I'm not sure), but I remember Casey Kasem made reference to it when they debuted in the top 40 with "Waiting For A Star To Fall". I was wondering if that song was a one-week wonder. That song was "Oh Girl". I believe it was a one-hit wonder on AT40, but it spent about four weeks on the R&R chart, peaking at number 36. It was a pretty good song. That's right, 4 weeks. Here's its complete run. www2.uta.edu/hunt/charts/Songruns/B/boymeetsgirloh_girl.htm

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but there was a song by Elvis Presley in 2002 that only spent a single week on AT40. Ed McMann was hosting that week.

^That was "A Little Less Conversation". I believe that song hit the countdown the weekend of August 17-18, the 25th anniversary weekend of Elvis' death.

These songs spent 1 week on the Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 chart but never made the Top 40 of the real R&R CHR/Pop chart since Rick used them either as substitute songs for rap songs or old songs or whatnot besides Korn's "Word Up": "Love This Way" by Eden's Crush "New York, New York" by Ryan Adams "World of Our Own" by Westlife More Rick Dees 1-week wonders (going by memory here, I'm probably missing a few) Sonique - Sky Green Day - Minority

More recently there was "Pretty Brown Eyes" by Cody Simpson and "Harlem Shake" by Baauer.
