These were huge or quite successful pretty much everywhere except the US: These were/are only big in Central Europe: These didn't quite make the cut anywhere, barring the occasional medium-to-big hit or two:

Natural PlusONE C-Note EYC
Nevermind, all those were said already, except PlusONE which I'm not sure counts because they never tried to go mainstream, I think. I think they were on Radio Disney though?
Speaking of Radio Disney...

Bande Ohn Namen (B.O.N.) This duo had a mild hit with "Boys" over here, but it was not that big. Lyte Funky Ones (L.F.O.) They came out with that song "Sex U Up (The Way U Like It)" but they were really known for "Summer Girls" (that Abercombie & Fitch song) and "Girl On TV." Their album was damn good!!!

We Stink was the faux boy band made up of Arthur, Buster, and George in the 2002 Arthur special "It's Only Rock 'n Roll" which guest starred the Backstreet Boys. We Stink was formed to get revenge on the U Stink group of Mrs. MacGrady (the school cafeteria lady), Binky, Fern, Francine, and Molly (Hey, U Stink was kind of a Partridge Family group knockoff!)

Anyone recall 3rd Storee?? An R&B boy band from the late 90's I think...they had two singles I can remember..."If Ever" and "Party Tonight".
OH! And don't forget BBMak...
I think Immature/IMX were a bit nore popular than you guys realize...though I guess the one BIG hit would be "Never Lie"
What about Indecent Obsession...they had a minor hit here in 1990 called "Tell Me Something"...don't know if they qualify as a boy band though...
And if you wanna get real old school...Musical Youth!! "Pass The Dutchie" still rocks!! :)

Lyte Funky Ones (L.F.O.) They came out with that song "Sex U Up (The Way U Like It)" but they were really known for "Summer Girls" (that Abercombie & Fitch song) and "Girl On TV." They also had "Every Other Time" in 2001.

Of the ones mentioned, the following successes in the U.S. were:
C-Note - Obscure top 40 hit Five - 2 top 40 hits, one reached top 15 O-Town - All or Nothing reached #1. Had 3 more top 40 hits SoulDecision - One top 10, One top 30 Take That - Back For Good was a hot Boyzone - Slow building top 40 hit with No Matter What Westlife - Had longevity, but low peak with Swear it Again 3T - Hit with Anything LFO - They scored a top 10 hit with "Every Other Time." Summer Girls went top 20, and also charted with Girl on TV and Life is Good. No Authority - Can I Get Your Number went top 30 All-4-One - Yes, they made it. Huge #1 smash with I Swear, and top 3 with I Can Love You Like That. BBMak - Hit the top 10 with Back Here, top 20 with Still on Your side. Also charted with Ghost of You and Me and Out of My Heart.
Now of the other ones:
Dream Street - Really liked them. A few songs on the album were a bit meh, but they had some good ones.
What happened to them: The parents of the kids sued the management for exposing them to things teens only dream of being exposed to. They ended up losing the case, and once the decision was handed down, 4 of the 5 members quit the group. Only Chris Trousdale remained. There were reports the group would reform with an older 18+ lineup but it never happened. Of course this is where Jesse McCartney came from. Greg Raposo also went solo but became a young JC Chasez.
Busted - I have the single for What I Go to School For somewhere
Plus One - I really like Plus One. I saw them in concert in November 2000 opening for Jaci Velasquez. Last Flight Out reached #3 on my chart, and they had some good stuff on their albums.
What happened to them: Their first album went gold. The 2nd album "Obvious" debuted in the top 30, but fell rapidly. The album ultimately flopped and the band was dropped from their label. 2 of the members left the group to pursue other interests, and the 3 remaining members revamped their sound under a new label. They released their 3rd album "Exodus," which was a bona fide flop, although produced the single "Circle." The band was one again dropped and another member departed. Nate Cole and Nathan Waters still perform under a new name.

How about heavy metal 1989 boy band Old Skull?

Menudo! I know they were very popular worldwide and even had a Saturday morning TV show on ABC (not exactly a show, but they were shown after the cartoons), but did they ever have a hit in America? I can't think of a single song that had that ever charted here.
