Do you remember Frank Sinatra's final ever Billboard Top 40 hit in 1980 called "New York, New York"? The song made #31 on the Billboard Top 40 and in 1986 made the Top 10 in the UK.

Ah, yes, the song overshadows the flop movie from which it comes, and was also the closest thing Liza ever had to a mainstream hit.
Not really a big fan since it's still sung nightmarishly often by karaoke folks.

I had no idea Liza Minelli sang the original version, in fact I had no idea this was a cover.
I love it, love singing it every chance I get...that climax is everything, haha!
