Do you remember the 1990 song from the movie Back to the Future Part 3 called "Doubleback" by ZZ Top? It only made #50 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

The reason for its low peak was the year it was released. ZZ Top was more of a '70s-'80s act, and they had already reached their popularity peak years before "Doubleback" was released.
Also, 1990 saw fewer AOR-type of songs becoming big pop hits. That era was coming to an end in favor of more R&B and hip-hop.
But if you paid more attention to album-rock/mainstream-rock, the good news is that it hit #1 on that chart.
