I really loved the video for this one Especially the sign she held "Too Black" Bag Lady made #1 R&B & #6 Hot 100 mainly due to its singles sales...

This is the first Erykah Badu video I remember seeing. I watched a lot of music videos in 2000. I love this song, especially the bridge.

The radio version was amazing. It was weird because she used the same sample Dr. Dre did for "Xxplosive" not even a year after his song came out. So for the first several times I heard it, I didn't realize it was Erykah Badu's new song. I kept changing the station on it. This and "Didn't Cha Know" are my two very favorite songs by her. Otherwise, I haven't been very impressed.

I love the video version... the album version isn't as good, sad to say. Erykah is amazing, whatever! I wouldn't call this her best though... either "Otherside of the Game" or "On & On".

My favorite Badu track is "Next Lifetime". I thought about saying that one but it's a little different... definitely the best video. I do love it.

I love this track. I do prefer the Cheeba Sac remix over the album version though.

Why did this Erikah Badu song fail to make the R&R CHR/Pop chart despite Top 10 Billboard?

I recently rediscovered this song. I have to say I appreciate it much more, now that I know it's true meaning (I was a kid when it was released) =P

I really loved this song but why did the album have a whole different version as opposed to the version with Dr. Dre Xxlopsive sample that went to radio ???. I'm sure that copyright issues may have played a factor in that.

The single version was a remix. The production on the album version isn't that different though. It's very smooth and jazzy.
I love both versions.

I like it, but it's not one of my favorite singles of hers.
