Easily one of the most played albums on radio in the last 10 years. I remember reading somewhere (I don't know where, but someone else here might) that all 5 singles got a combined airplay over 1,000,000 spins; does anyone know about these statistics? Anyways the breakdown was something like; Iris - 500,000+, Slide - 350,000+, Black Balloon - somewhere around 200,000 I think, Broadway - around 150,000, and then Dizzy was also noted as getting around 35,000 spins. To top it off, was the fact that this album only sold over 3 million in the U.S. despite having so much radio success. You'd think an album with so many hits would sell at least 5 million or more. Could anyone verify this information or have anything to add about this info. Anyways, about the album, it is my all-time favorite album, I don't think anything will ever take it's place!

"Slide" was my favorite single. I hated "Black Balloon" and I've never been a big fan of "Iris" either. "Broadway" was okay.

Definitely their best album, and I'd put it in the Top 10 albums of the 1990's. Its a solid album from start to finish. "Iris" and " Dizzy" are my two favorite tracks.

I really liked "Broadway", but got totally burned out on "Slide" when my local pop station played it every 2 hours for 6 months straight.

I have this album too. Don't listen to it much anymore. I do remember feeling bad for that Robbie guy who sings a few songs for the Goos. He just doesn't do it for me. And he is the oddest looking character. I hear he is a really nice guy though. But don't want to hear him sing.

Black Balloon is supposedly all about Robbie Takac's wife.
Apparently she committed suicide while they were on tour and she was pregnant with their baby. I read something about it in Rolling Stone. This probably isn't the direct storyline, but I've heard many rumors relating to Black Balloon and Takac.
The album was outstanding. My favorite songs:
1. Slide 1. Black Balloon 3. Broadway (very Gin Blossoms) 4. Iris 5. Dizzy

"All Eyes On Me" is probably in my top 5 songs of all time. All the singles are great as well as some of the other tracks. It always takes me back to the summer of 1999. I would listen to "All Eyes On Me" constantly.
