we all know YMCA and I Will Survive but what about the more obscure songs that were huge club hits?
"Glad To Know You" Chas & Jankel This was a big club song back in the Disco days. The piano and organ were insanely catchy. How many songs have ever had keyboard parts THAT catchy? I have a 12 inch of that
"Lover's Holiday" Change The beat, the guitars, and the synthesizers. A very cool song that I always liked. No 12 inch, but my sister had the album in college
"Vertigo/Relight My Fire" Dan Hartman I have a 12 inch of this song I found at a record show The first part is Vertigo and it has this pounding back beat and big grandiose keyboard parts.
"Wikka Rap" The Evasions This is a really rare tune, I have a cassette with it on it. The singer was imitating the guy from Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and making fun of funk music. I suppose it was a joke record like Disco Duck was but it was very catchy.
"Slide" Slave I have this on a funk CD. I miss the old days of big horn sections. Can't find horn sections on any new songs.

Loleatta Holloway - Hit N' Run This is one of my favorite tracks from Ms. Holloway which has not been oversampled/remade in recent years. The 12" mix of this was absolutely epic. And Loleatta just brought it on this one.
More to come later.

"Song from M*A*S*H" by the New Marketts. This was a discofied instrumental version of the "Suicide is Painless" theme. Anybody recall that one?
I think it was a minor AC hit in the mid-'70s, and perhaps spun in some clubs, but it was pretty unknown.
In case anybody's wondering - yes, the New Marketts were a re-creation of the Marketts - the '60s surf-rock band.
