This song by Brooks and Dunn, "Boot Scootin' Boogie", was a big #1 country hit in 1992, and was planning to be crossed over to Top 40 pop radio by Fall 1992 but never did.

This song by Brooks and Dunn, "Boot Scootin' Boogie", was a big #1 country hit in 1992, and was planning to be crossed over to Top 40 pop radio by Fall 1992 but never did. And thank the Good Lord for that! I found this song so annoying. Of course, that's partially because I don't really like country music, especially this kind (though for some reason, I did like "Achy Breaky Heart"). But where I used to work, one of the guys liked listening to country music and, during the summer of 1992, I would hear this song every blessed day. Unsurprisingly, this song never made my Personal Top 30 chart. If I had published a Worst Personal Top 30 chart, this would definitely be one of the top hits of the year on that.

If there's a restaurant in hell, it's probably a Waffle House and this song is probably playing on the jukebox.
