"If You Love Me" went to #8 on the Hot 100 for Brownstone in 1995

The only song I liked by them was "I Can't Tell You Why."

Good song. I also liked the follow-up, "Grapevyne".

It took me a couple of listens to like this record and it climbed to #2 on my charts and peaked there, after taking such a huge leap. Anyway I love this song to this day!

Me and my friends jokingly call them the Brownstone choir because even though there were only 3 of them, they sounded like a full choir. Love this song.. love both of their albums and Kina's solo album too.

This is on my store's current playlist. I had forgotten how great this song was. The harmonies are flawless. It's a smooth R&B jam. There were some amazing club mixes by Uno Clio. They gave it a nice Disco/Deep House makeover.

This is song is still good. In 1994-95 this song was getting heavy airplay on 92.3 The Beat, 102.3 KJLH and Power 106. I was only a year old when this song was popular. I'm now 21 year old and I have this song on repeat on my iPod touch.

I'm hearing this for the first time tonight, but I really like it.
Why is the music video a capella, though? I found it on Vevo first and I kept waiting for the music to come in. Then I looked up the album version and it was completely different.

Ginger Spice, I believe using the a capella mix for the video was VEVO's/their label's doing. The radio edit (w/ the beat) was used for the video when it was out. This song is an R&B classic. The gospel-styled vocals set it apart from the other songs at the time. Here is the remix video with Craig Mack. I remember seeing it on BET a few times.

One of my favorite songs of all time. I love that it sounds like there are like 100 of them.

One of my all time favorite songs. It's perfection! Only thing I could ask for is a radio edit on spotify and jukeboxes so there wouldn't be such a long outro.

This was a good 90s R&B song. I liked it and tended to hear it on B96 and WGCI on the radio back then.
