"You Can Call Me Al" is the only song to have three separate chart runs on my charts. The best showing was it's first run when it peaked at #10.

I think this is possibly the worst song he ever recorded

I love it... the video is a classic (hey, Chevy Chase used to be funny!).

I really like this Paul Simon song. Yet another where his wry sense of humor shows through. LOL

Great song... It's got just the right amount of corny.

I like it. Casey played it earlier this year on AT10.

Good song. Not a huge fan of his solo work overall... but I like a lot of the Simon & Garfunkel stuff.

Have you given any thought as to how you will celebrate your 30 year anniversary?

You Can Call Me Al reached #23 on the Hot 100 in 1987 one year after the tune originally peaked at #44

Mediocre - not one of Simon's best songs.
I think the reason it was re-released in 1987 was because the album it came from won a Grammy. The record company probably felt that the 1st single didn't do as well as it could have it its 1st chart run, so they decided to give it a 2nd try after the album got more publicity at the Grammys.
