The song has been covered and sampled a billion times but nobody can touch Gwen Dickey's vocals. She was the queen of emotion and heartache ballads. It's definitely become a more popular song than it's chart stats would suggest. The same goes for the #32 peaking "Love Don't Live Here Anymore".

i'm surprised this wasnt a bigger hit, but somehow it became a classic. I like this song, I also like Beyonces version alot.

I never really cared for that many songs directly from Rose Royce due to the lack of vocals, however I will not deny some classics they have created. I like this song, but prefer the cover versions to the original.
