1989: Listen To Your Heart/Roxette
As you can see, Uncle Kracker regains the number one position to break the record of total weeks spent on top. And "Unwell" falls back to number two and, according to Casey (well, actually subhost Ed McMann), it could become the first song since "Recover Your Soul" by Elton John back in spring, 1998, to spend a single week on top. But I don't know; I think Matchbox Twenty could squeak in another week or two on top. I have no idea how close Shania Twain is to those two songs.
When AT20 Archive song "Say You Love Me" by Fleetwood Mac kicked off the final hour, I knew something was up. And I was right; the last LDD was a song still in the countdown. And I was thinking maybe they'd play an extra AT20 Archive song, but instead, they must have just repeated the second verse of several songs. I wasn't paying much attention, since I was playing Yoshi's World on my Super NES.
Speaking of archive songs, for the second week in a row, they played two songs from the 1970s.
