Do you remember the 1992-1993 #1 Contempary Christian Countdown song "The Great Adventure" by Steven Curtis Chapman? This could have crossed over to Pop/Top 40 radio.

Wow, Darryl, this is the first time you've created a thread about a Contempoorary Christian hit!
You are so right - this song could have been a Top 40 Crossover hit, since it sounds Top 40 radio-friendly (by early 1990s standards, anyway).
This was the #1 Christian hit of the 1990s, according to 20: The Countdown Magazine. Back then, whenever SCC released a hit, it was pretty much a given that it would hit #1. Now, he has sort of lost his touch. He's still making hits, but most of them hit the Top Ten at best. We'll see how his current charter, "Miracle Of The Moment" does. It's currently spending a second week at #7 on the 20: Countdown chart.

SCC's follow ups to "The Great Adventure" were "Where We Belong" and "That's Paradise".
