Do you remember the 1972 Dickie Goodman style BREAK-IN novelty record by the Delegates called "Convention '72"? It reached #8 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. I know it made the WLS Chicago music survey chart playlist at the time without getting any radio airplay at all but maybe sales in Chicago?

Fairly clever as far as break-in records go. I like the style as a whole, but can only listen to them in small doses.

I love those break-in records especially this one since the tune is 2 1/2 times longer than the average length of a Dickie Goodman
