Do you remember in 1996 Blind Melon did a cover of the classic Schoolhouse Rock song "Three is a Magic Number"? It was heard on "Future Hits" but failed to make a dent on the R&R chart.

Future Hits was still in production in 1996? I thought that show had been cancelled before then (I know that they stopped airing it on B96 on Independence Day weekend, 1993, when it no longer fit the format, such was the case with "Casey's Top 40", which was also dropped).

Future Hits was renamed "The Cut" in mid 1996.

I remember this being played on the Philadelphia modern rock station, WDRE. Don't think it did anything chart-wise.
