Do you remember the 1977 novelty hit by the Ray Stevens creation HENHOUSE FIVE PLUS TOO called "In The Mood" (a clucking novelty version of the Glenn Miller standard). It only reached #40 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent only 1 week in the Top 40. For the record: The B side of the H.F.P.T. "In The Mood" single was "Classical Cluck".

I believe Casey Kasem played a drop-piece of this song on an AT40 from March, 1983 that was used as a Flashback.

I can't stand much of anything Ray Stevens ever did. To me, he's 100% pure dork.
His novelty songs are stupid and pointless. This chicken-clucking parody is bad; but even worse is "The Streak". I could never understand why that hit #1.
