Three Dog Night - Black and White

One of the band's catchier tunes, this one's full of hooks. Listening to it today it's hard to believe that this was actually controversial at the time it was released. School integration was very much a hot-button issue, kinda like gay marriage is today.

I think it's a great tune that has stood the test of time well.

Very good song and I don't remember the controvery behind it. I liked lots of TDN songs during their 5 year window, specifically "The Show Must Go On," but also "Sure As I'm Sitting Here" and "Old Fashioned Love Song" and the song which signaled the end of their phenomenal chart run, "Play Something Sweet." I think Casey was going into conniptions as he announced that it looked like it was going to end a streak of 18 or so top 20 hits for the band, each week as the song moved up another notch or two.

Not my favorite, but it's okay. Three Dog Night doesn't seem to get their due. I don't know if it's because they didn't write their hits or what... but I checked out a Greatest Hits album of theirs, and was shocked at how many songs I recognized, most of which I didn't know were made famous by them.

3DN is cool. This isn't one of my favorites but it's not too bad. Definitely gotta agree with the catchy coomments.
