I love this song... any song about hookers that can hit #1 is okay in my book. ;)
Toot toot... hey... beep beep!

I love it. I prefer both "Heaven Knows" and "Dim All The Lights" though.

I love it...even more than Joy Enriquez's remake off the muy CALIENTE "Chasing Papi" soundtrack, featuring Celia Cruz, La India, and Jaci Velasquez.

I sorta remember this. I bought her VH1 Live CD but I only listen to the duet she had with Tina Arena.

Had to bring this one back casue I never responded to it. One of my favorite Donna Summer songs, and I have ALOT of favorites from her.
May 18, 1979
01 05 Bad Girls - Donna Summer 02 01 We Are Family - Sister Sledge 03 02 Forbidden Love - Madeline Kane 04 03 Hot Stuff - Donna Summer 05 06 The Logical Song - Supertramp 06 04 There But For The Grace of God Go I - Machine 07 07 Reunited - Peaches & Herb 08 08 I Want You Love - Chic 09 09 Knock On Wood - Ami Stewart 10 10 Dancer - Gino Soccio
"Bad Girls" spent one week at #1 before "The Logical Song" and "Hot Stuff" took their turns at #1. It came back to go for another 7 weeks at #1, 8 total and was the #2 song of 1979 behind "Dim All The Lights" with "Hot Stuff" at #4 for the year. No one before or since has monopolized the top 5 year end chart like that.

That's impressive!
No one has ever had three songs in my year end Top 10. The closest anyone has dominated the year end chart like that would be:
1979 Donna Summer (#1, #2, #7) 1985 Madonna (#1, #4, #6) 1998 Shania Twain (#1, #2, #10)

Makes me want to smoke a cigarette! It's a hot song!
I used to like this song when I was 5. I thought it was about girls that misbehaved. Little did I know it was all about prostitution. She really was looking for some hot stuff.

I recently sang this song also on top of my lungs while driving, although in the afternoon (as opposed to TTIKIFR.... although it would have been more appropriate the opposite I guess). This was a JAM, a CLASSIC back home. In all countdowns of the best of the century this song always was in the Top 20. I have the Casablanca 45 single still. I remember hearing it when I was too young to process the meaning. At that time, I liked the whistle a lot Then it was all about the "Chuchu Eh Pipi" (of course when I grew a bit older it became sort of a joke since 'Pipi' would mean 'dick'. Little did I know even then that the real meaning had to do more with 'dicks' than I thought Anyway. Great song!! One of my favorites from Donna :)

Yup, there was only the long Hot Stuff/Bad Girls version that had Bad Girls on 4:55 and ending with Too Too Pee Pee without music. There was also a long Demo released in the Bad Girls CD www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpeuaAjldVo

And to think Casablanca wanted to give this song to Cher.

You have it backward. ;) This is my favorite by Donna. Massive hit. It spent 5 weeks at the top of the Hot 100 and also topped the Hot Soul Singles and Disco charts. Fun variety show performance that always comes to mind when I think of this song.

It's an okay song. I heard this a lot growing up & still like this. However over the years, I've been hearing a wider selection of her discography & it's quite apparent she has better material than this.
