As memorable as this song is, it really was a borderline flop. I'm really surprised, because I do think it's considered a classic rap track. This was one of the releases from the 1993 Menace To Society soundtrack. It features one of the smoothest flows and well-produced tracks that the rap genre had produced up to that point. Basically a song about a guy telling a story about how circumstance caused his life to be so messed up. I guess the song makes more sense if you've seen the movie, which I haven't. Anyway: #46 R&B/Hip-Hop and #72 Hot 100. Anyone know this song?

I didn't understand the song either or let alone listen to the song. This song is a classic partly because this was used on one my favourite R&B songs from as a matter of fact 10 years ago! Montell Jordan's "Falling"!

It's a minor classic from a great time in hip hop. Video.
