This song was one of the biggest hits of the summer of 1995 and the album was a hit. What do you think of this song?

Decent song, but never saw the video. I got sick of it in 1995-1996 when it was played so much, but now I don't mind hearing it.

It's too bad he never duplicated the quality of this song (don't come in her bitching that it's not quality because you probably hate urban music anyway), except for maybe "Get It On Tonite" which was pretty good too.

Oh forgot about "Let's Ride". Yeah, I did like that one. He seemed like a one hit per album type of artist.

I love this song! Especially the little rap near the end where he imitates Slick Rick (or was that actually Rick? I never could tell...)
Good message, too... party hard, but don't drive drunk! :)

One of the worst songs of all time IMO. I've hated it since the first time I heard it. Just dreadful.
The only song I like by him is "Get It On Tonight."

I LOVE IT! I got the album and it's one of the most rarely listened to albums I have EVER bought... just one good song.

The album isn't too hot, but I got it for a $1, so it doesn't matter.

My friends and I referred to Montell as "the guy who doesn't sound like a G", because he has all these urban slang lyrics but this very classical sounding voice. It was almost like Tom & Tom from In Living Color if they started singing "you can get yours in a six-fo..."

This is the jam! But I agree that the rest of his songs weren't as good.

This was such a JAM! back in the summer of 1995. I wish he had been able to make more hits like this but this will always be a classic party song!

I bought the single as soon as I saw it on BET! I liked the song instantly, then got tired of it because of all of the hype. I liked about 1/2 of the album as well with tracks such as "Down On My Knees", "Close The Door", & "I'd Do Anything".

I liked it when it first came out, but excessive overplay killed it for me.

This is a jam. His other songs didn't match the quality of this one except for "Get It On Tonight" (was that the title?). I got sick of this when it first came out because it was played so much, but I love hearing it now.

I love this song! Especially the little rap near the end where he imitates Slick Rick (or was that actually Rick? I never could tell...) It samples Slick Rick's "Children's Story". Funny how Black Moses didn't mention it, LOL. Anyway, this is definitely a song I still love.

It's alright. Surprised he faded away so quickly though.

I loved this song.
I guess I'm the only one here that genuinely liked the album lol.
I loved "I'll Do Anything", "It's Over" (my favorite song, I love the background vocals during the chorus), and "Daddy's Home". Most of the other tracks were cute, the samples were greatly used. And he has a pretty strong voice.

One of the best R&B tracks of the 1990s. R&B music was mellowing out during this time and I liked the upbeat energy of this song. I loved the song despite the overplay on B96, WGCI, and defunct 106 Jams in my market. I also grew to love the song being sampled, "Children's Story" by Slick Rick.
