This was Toni at her finest hour. This song is so amazing. I think this song could still top the charts today because of this powerful vocal performance. I hope to have vocals like these on her upcoming album. This is a babyface classic, and one of my favorites from her debut album. Did this song reach #1?
Does anyone know all her chart positions for her singles?

Fun fact: This was actually written for Anita Baker!
I'm not posting all of her chart stats. That would take me a year, but here's the stats for this song.
Hot 100: #33 Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Sales: #4

I didn't actually discover this song until last year but now it's one of my favourite Toni songs (I have all her albums as of last year).

i was goin to mention it reminded me of Anita Baker. A lot of Toni Braxton's debut was written for Anita Baker. Toni actually did the demo tracks to those songs, and when Anita decided she wanted to take a break to have her first child Toni was blessed with those songs and put out in mu opinion the best album of 1993.

Boy Toni really lucked up! And so did we, as we were blessed with a great new singer.
Great song, full of emotion. I could see Anita tearing it up but Toni did it just as well. Classic.

I think this is one of her best vocals in terms of clarity. It's completely mumble-free for a Toni track lol
Great song, a classic.

This was originally on the soundtrack to the movie Boomerang. It's also one of my favorites from her.

I've always liked this.
I almost thought it was an Anita Baker song when I heard this on the radio today.

It's solid, but one of my least fav singles off of her debut (yeah, yeah, it's technically on the Boomerang soundtrack, I know).

I love this one, and it's sad it doesn't even have 7 million views on VEVO/YouTube :(
Toni's counts are weird. "Un-Break My Heart" is predictably #1 (by a mile), but none of her other videos are over 50 million views. Odd to me is that "Just Be A Man About It" is #3 for her.

I think this is my favorite song from Toni's 1993 debut album. I tended to hear it on WGCI, V103, and Lite FM 93.9 in my market. Also, I did not know it was released a year earlier as part of the soundtrack to the 1992 Eddie Murphy film "Boomerang". (I actually remember watching that movie in theaters when I was younger) Even though that movie was not as well-received , this film did make way for successful pop singles such as this one, PM Dawn's "I'd Die Without You" and Boyz II Men's "End of the Road".

I discovered this gem on the “Boomerang” sdtk. I instantly loved it. It’s always been one of my favorite songs from Toni. The pre chorus hits me everytime. There’s also a small part when she sings “Oh Baby Why” at the 3:01 mark that reminded me of Whitney’s “I Have Nothing”.
