I'm pretty sure this went Top 10 on the Hot 100, but on the Pop chart it was a different story, as this only got to #22.
Was it Hex Hector who did the original dance remix to this song? I remember I originally hated the remix because it was taking the place of the original song, which I thought was pretty good then. Over time, though, I grew to love the remix.[/font]

For some reason, I'm thinking that Thunderpuss remixed it.

Yeah, Thunderpuss did the remix that got a ton of radio play.

This felt huge for only peaking at #22 on pop. Maybe because it was played very heavily in FL at the time. I'd honestly feel pretty safe saying that this is her most memorable hit since "Exhale", maybe even "I Will Always Love You". I think it's got the most familiarity, and wouldn't be surprised if it's what's played the most on the radio at this point (non-AC).
This was my favorite on the album at the time.

It's definitely more successful than it's pop history suggests. It did go Top 5 on the Hot 100 after all. Z100 played it heavily.
The original is really boring but the Thunderpuss remix (and I liked the Club 69 remix too) were amazing.

The only reason I got her greatest hits was to get the remixes to all the singles. The original to this was alright though.

KIIS-FM kept playing the hell outta the dance mix long after the song died.
What an empowering anthem! However, what does Whitney mean "If 6 of y'all went out... then the 4 of you were pretty cheap, cuz only 2 of u had dinner, found your credit card receipt"? What if the 4 paid seperately? Or what if they weren't hungry? What is Whitney's problem.

I like the Rodney Jerkins Smooth Mix... I never really dug the original or any of the dance mixes.

The Thunderpuss mixes are the definitive version. Absolutely amazing. No one even really remembers the original, and I never hear it anywhere.

JAM! The Thunderpuss mix still sounds fresh today. I hadn't listened to it for a while and recently put it on my comp before leaving for NY. JAMMMM. Can't believe it only peaked at #22. lol @ Mineable's question.

That's how Whitney's uptempo songs need to be! I loved it! The whole MY LOVE IS YOUR LOVE project.

Again, I like this cos she doesn't just shriek through it. I like the original, as it goes. The remix is ace too though.

Figures. The day after I say I never hear the original, they play it on KISS FM in New York.

haha. the dance mix is amazing, that huge note she holds at the end is whoa as much as i love any compliments to Whitney, she's not actually holding that note in the remix.

I like the dance mix as well! Especially the bridge where she goes
..you were making a fool of me, ooooooooooooh (How the "oh" just drags for about 1/2 minute)

I think I like this more now than I did back when it came out! This song is definitely underrated.

Are there two versions of the Thunderpuss radio mix? I seem to remember one that, at the climax of the song, repeated "Oh! It turns out!" like 4 times before "You were making a fool of meeeeeeeee"...yet the one I hear on KTU now only says that line once.

What if the 4 paid seperately? Or what if they weren't hungry? What is Whitney's problem. LOL! I always thought that line made no sense too. In fact, it annoyed me enough to make me hate the lyrics of the song even though I loved the Thunderpuss beat. As to Moonshadow's question, I've never heard "It turns out" more than once in the radio version of the song, only in the extended version. Maybe KTU was playing a custom mix for a while.

This is a total SMASH! One of my favs. Whitney songs. Sista laid it down on this SMASH! I love it. "get gone get gone" tell that ghetto ass rat, girl! This performance was amazing. Her vocals, attitude, and she can DANCE! Shake that ass, Nippy!

Johnny Vicious also remixed the song. If memory serves me right, it went to #2 in the Billboard R&B chart. Whitney looked like she was having a great time in the video.

I loved the album version, this was when Rodney Jerkins was on top of his game, coming off the success of Brandy & Monica's "The Boy Is Mine".
