Wow! JAM! Surely a karaoke favorite? It's more fun to sing along with than Maria Mena's "You're The Only One"!
I first became interested in this song when my friend said, "I like it because I can't understand what she's saying!"
RES's album was CHEEP at Target! When it was $5.99, I almost bought it. I wanted to help her reach the Top 100 of the Billboard 200! (She peaked at #1 Heatseekers, Osbourne's "Family Album"-style!)
I still don't understand the song at all. Someone, please explain. I don't even get the title.

This song took a long time to grow on me, but it eventually peaked at #8 on my chart. The Bastone & Burnz remix is the version to go for though.

I love this song. When it first came out, it was all I'd listen to because it was so different. I was hoping it'd be a huge smash it.
The album is good as a whole as well. I wish she'd release a follow-up already.

For some reason, I get this song and "Video" by India.Arie mixed up. But I like both.

Talk about nostalgia. I bought her album 4yrs ago after seeing the video to this track. :o
She's very unique in her style and delivery. Reminds me of an alternative Lauryn Hill.

Love it and that's before I knew Santi White wrote the lyrics and did so for 9 of 11 songs on How I Do. Santi's future Stiffed (group before she recorded as Santigold) band mates play on a lot of the album too.

I actually remember hearing this song on the radio. 103.5 Kiss FM played the album/single version while now-defunct Energy 92.7/92.5 played a dance version (specifically an edit of the Bastone & Burnz Club mix, which I can't find on YouTube). I liked both versions, but prefer the dance version. BTW, shouldn't this song be listed in the 2000s thread as it was released in 2002. album version www.youtube.com/watch?v=q18C4yIrzkU

Been spinning this album a lot lately, it holds up well. This was a good single choice and at the time seemed on the cusp of doing something, but just didn't quite breakthrough. There were some solid club mixes as well.
