Sadly, overlooked, decent single from The Backstreet Boys. I'm sorry it didn't perform better. :'(

Are you sure this isn't All Or Nothing by Otown?
Both are dreadful soundalikes that grate! lol.

I love this song. My friends and I used to sing this while we were in the car.

A tad formulaic, but good song from them :)

The music was too close to All or Nothing. And, All or Nothing was the far more superior song.

I like it but it would have sounded better without the "All Or Nothing" sample.

I like it but it would have sounded better without the "All Or Nothing" sample. It doesn't sample "All Or Nothing". The beginning just sounds alike (there is a slight difference between the two, though. If you listened to the intros of both back to back, you should hear the difference.)

It's not a bad song, but at the same time it's not one I'd voluntarily listen to either.

I loved this song and sadly it underperformed on pop and AC. It went to #1 for 5 weeks on my personal chart though!

I think this ripped off not only "All Or Nothing" but also Lonestar's "Amazed". I'm not really a fan of any of these songs though.

I think Casey compared these two songs on one of his shows and there was a quote from one of the Backstreet Boys saying that they wrote it before "All or Nothing" and didn't rip them off.

I don't care much for a lot of Backstreet Boys songs but I thought this was good, but it sounds way too much like "All or Nothing."

It's alright. The chorus really made the song for me. The verses were average at best.

Drowning peaked at #28 on the Hot 100 in 2002 and marked the end of Backstreet's heyday as a boyband.

Drowning = All Or Nothing + Amazed + I Want It That Way + Shape Of My Heart + Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely + Ordinary World Wow, haven't done that equation in awhile!

The Dezrok mixes for this song were gorgeous.

This song was so bad and such a pathetic release as tastes were clearly shifting as 2001 progressed. Not surprising that this wasn't a smash

Apparently this song was a leftover from the "Black & Blue" sessions.

I like this song The first notes do sound identical to “All Or Nothing”, but I don’t think the rest of the song does. Some similarities here and there, but not nearly as much of the piano intro.
