LOL. I remember the whole fiasco with this and AT40 vs. R&R back in the day.
The song was just OK, but I loved their other releases from the album much better.

I love this.
The greatest hits CD is awesome. And "Under The Bridge" brings back so many memories.

A good song, but not one of my favorites from them.

I like it. The following quote used to be in my signature: "Space may be the final frontier But it’s made in a Hollywood basement" I'll listen to it now.

This was outstanding. The fiasco I remember was regarding the pop edit that ended the song before its amazing bridge solo and everything thereafter, which was ridiculous. But nowadays, if you're going to hear this song, chances are that pop edit has absolutely no impact on anything. Warner Bros. probably spent more money creating that edit than its entire promotion budget for Chr/Pop. The song had every right to be just as big as "Scar Tissue", or at the very least, "Otherside". But, Warner Bros. is a terrible record company.

Califorinacation got to #69 on the Hot 100 in 2000 and what was the story of this song and AT40.

TRL SMASH! I remember the video was like a pure Dreamcast/Nintendo game and this guy was skate boarding through it all...The song...eh...but I liked the video. :)

The song & video are both among their best.

LOVE this! Sadly though I overlooked it when it was out since I ignored most rock music.

Cali forinacation got to #69 on the Hot 100 in 2000 and what was the story of this song and AT40. ;) I never heard the pop edit that many had talked about, but "Californication" is the song from the album I hear by far the least today, and that's mostly just from rock radio stations. I actually like this more than "Scar Tissue," but slightly less than "Otherside" and maybe on par with "Around the World."

Another great song from this album. It did fine but it is surprising to me that it didn't do better honestly. Even on Alternative it didn't have near the longevity of "Scar Tissue" and "Otherside."
