This 80's power ballad by the lead singer of Heart and frontman of Cheap Trick appeared on the soundtrack to the film Tequilla Sunrise.
While not as popular as Ann's duet with Loverboy's Mike Reno ("Almost Paradise"), I like this song much better. Their voices sound great together. Too bad you never hear this on AC radio anymore.

I liked this song a lot when it came out but, for some reason, I grew tired of it pretty quickly. I still think it's pretty cool, but I like "Almost Paradise" better.

The original is the best, but two other notable versions are Samantha Cole's, and Richard Marx and Lara Fabian dueting from his Flesh & Bone (Canadian import disc). Beautiful

Surrender to Me got to #6 on the Hot 100 in 1989...Too bad there was no music video for this song.

It's been awhile since I've head it. I'll have to check it out on YouTube.

Do you remember the 1989 duet by Ann Wilson (Heart) and Robin Zander (Cheap Trick) called "Surrender to Me"?

Great song! They definitely sounded good together, shame it's gone obscure over the years.

I love this ballad. One of my favorite duets of that era. Both partners sound so great together! 🇯🇲 dollybaby 🇯🇲 sis, isn't that chorus to die for?! And if that guitar solo doesn't scream old-school adult contemporary, I don't know what does. So much nostalgia!!
