This one is pretty obscure... It barely got into the Hot 100 in 1985... peaking somewhere in the high 80's or low 90's... I loved this song and it got some airplay locally at KIIS FM here in L.A... it also became a pretty big hit in Canada and the Phillipines...
Anyone else remember this one other than me here???

Yes, but it was 1986. One To One was a Canadian duo - Louise Reny and Leslie Howe. They had a number of hits in Canada, including this one, "There Was a Time" and "Peace Of Mind". They did fairly well with dance-oriented pop. Howe went on to guide Alanis' (Morissette) start of her career in the early 90's in Canada - almost turning her into a dance diva (she had three CD's for MCA Canada) before she broke away from the industry for a few years and emerged with Jagged Little Pill in 1995.
So, obscure - somewhat - but with a story!

Thanks for the info... I knew someone other than me had to remember it... I liked the other 2 songs too... bought the cassette for their first album (never could find it on CD), and have a couple of copies of their 2nd CD... I had no idea about the Alanis connection... that's pretty cool!!!

I remember them, use to hear them lots on the radio. I also liked "Memory Lane" which came out later sometime.

From what I seen (the writing is too small) it looked liked it peaked in the mid 20's. But
I have some chart info from "Top 40 Hits" from Nanda Lwin's book. But these are sales charts (except for the last two songs)
There Was a Time - #13 Angel in My Pocket - #28 Hold Me Now - #25 Peace of Mind - #25 (radio - #13) Memory Lane - (radio - #27)
