I heard this yesterday on KQMQ as I was out to lunch. I hadn't heard this in ages. It peaked at #2 in December 1985. Was this song about lead singer Jim Kerr and his now ex wife Chrissie Hynde giving birth?

I like this, only slightly behind "Sanctify Yourself" and "Don't You (Forget About Me)". :)

I like this, only slightly behind "Sanctify Yourself" and "Don't You (Forget About Me)". :) if i had to rank them... and it's all very close... this would be behind "don't you" and just before "sanctify yourself".

This would be right in the middle, with "Sanctify Yourself" winning out and the grossly overplayed "Don't You (Forget About Me)" coming in a distant third.

Good song, but I would probably rank it fifth among Simple Minds songs. "(Don't You) Forget About Me", "All the Things She Said", "Sanctify Yourself" and "See the Light" would rank ahead of "Alive and Kicking".

I love it, just like most Simple Minds songs, but this would be about tenth behind "See the Lights," everything from New Gold Dream 81-82-83-84, and "Don't You (Forget About Me)."
