Probably her biggest worldwide hit. US #1, UK #1 (her only chart topper here, it spent 5 weeks on top in 1980)
I don't normally like her, but this song is quite good. Rubbish video though.

Britney ripped off this song on "Oops!...I Did It Again."

Her music is hit and miss with me. I liked this song. It was written by Barry and Robin Gibb and you can even hear Barry singing backround vocals on the track.
I liked "Guilty" and "What Kind of Fool" with her & Barry Gibb a little better. But "Woman In Love" is good.

The melody to "I think I did it again" is a direct rip-off of the melody to "I am a woman in love." I read that in a Britney album review.

I've never been a fan of Barb's music, but I LOVE this song! I bought the cassette after hearing it on an AT40 Flashback in 1990.

I got introduced to this song through a cover that singer Ariel did back in 2000. It sounded like a knock-off of Cher's "Believe" with all the vocoding. The original is still better.

I've never been a fan of Barb's music, but I LOVE this song! I bought the cassette after hearing it on an AT40 Flashback in 1990. Yeah, back then, 1980 wasn't too old for listeners' ears. No, seriously, I knew you meant when Shadoe played the Top Five songs from a certain year during his show. They did, however, manage to play this song on, not one, but two editions of the three-hour AT40 Flashback, both in 2001. First, it was early November and then early December. I think the song was pretty cool.

I've never been a fan of Barb's music, but I LOVE this song! I agree. Actually, I used to hate it but one day it came on the radio and something just clicked. It's an amazing song with great vocals from Barbara. I also love the arrangement of the music on the track. Definately my favorite from her.

Jordin Sparks sang it this past week. It was OK. I thought she did a decent job. Considering it's a Barbra Streisand song, she did much better than someone else could have.

Let's get things straight- since ...Baby One More Time" and "Oops" essentially are the same tracks, wouldn't it be ..."Baby" that lifted the melody? :) (well, maybe not, but there's no doubt those two songs are interchangeable and can be sung over the other without missing a beat)
"Woman in Love" is a good Babs tracks- too bad she hasn't performed it in eons.

I don't like this woman or most of her material, but this is a really good song. Maybe because it's essentially a Bee Gees song with someone else singing...

This is the first BS song I ever heard... I remember being little and in awe that she could hold that super long note. I like it, I like the lyrics "we may be oceans away / you feel my love / I hear what you say," because her voice sounds so good on that particular part. My favorite song on that album was "Guilty" though, her duet with Barry Gib; that one sounded more R&B-ish to me. Apparently, she hated the song for years because she felt it didn't have a message or something like that. So, she hadn't performed for years (or ever!) until her latest "tour" in 2013: LMAO @ her messing up the lyrics and cracking up.
