On the pop chart it peaked at #27. Nine years ago this week in 1996 it debuted at #18 on the AC chart eventually peaking at #6 as mentioned on the US Music Survey. I like it. Here's a clip.

I don't really like it. I don't think there's anything after 1990 by him that I like.

The songs is decent but would be towards the end of my list of favorite Phil Collins' singles.

Probably his only post-"Something Happened On The Way To Heaven" single that I can tolerate hearing.

Tolerable, but far from his best work.

Probably his only post-"Something Happened On The Way To Heaven" single that I can tolerate hearing. Smile when you say that! "Both Sides Of The Story" was a great song! Sadly underrated, too. ;) As for this song, it's far from being Phil's best (that honor goes to "I Wish It Would Rain Down"), but it's still a good song. The follow-up, "It's In Your Eyes", an AC-charter, was pretty good too.

Dance Into The Light peaked at #45 on the Hot 100 in 1996 and was Phil's first solo release after leaving Genesis

It's a pretty good song, but it came out about the time when Phil's popularity was declining on the CHR scene. His last top 40 pop hit was "You'll Be in My Heart" in 1999, and I think the only reason that was a top 40 hit was due to massive airplay on the AC circuit.
Personally, I liked Phil Collins the best during the '80s.

I don't really like it. I don't think there's anything after 1990 by him that I like. I'm a sucker for just about all of his 80s songs, but I pretty much have to agree with this.

Something Happened On The Way To Heaven and Do You Remember are hands down his best solo songs.....oh and also that one AC song he had about leaving on a train...that one was GOOD!
