Believe it or not this is his biggest CHR/Pop hit peaking at number five while his "Right Kind Of Love" peaked at number six. I like this semi-forgotten song, it spent several weeks at number one on my charts in 1993. Now Jeremy Jordan is concentrating on his acting career. You know his debut CD did not even make the Billboard 200, I do however I have the copy of it and it's not really pop-friendly.

Yeah, it seems like "Right Kind Of Love" would be his biggest hit, since it spent more weeks on the chart (didn't it?) and ranked higher on the year end chart. But in a way, "Wannagirl" is the bigger hit since it peaked higher

Semi-forgotten? If this is only "semi-forgotten", I don't know what I could call "completely forgotten". :)
I can't even think of how the chorus of this song goes (was there even a chorus?), and I was keeping track of the charts religiously at the time. I can think of one line of the entire song, that being "I wanna girl, a girl who makes me laugh" and that's it. For a top 5 hit, this one has definitely fallen to the depths of obscurity. "Right Kind Of Love" sticks out in my mind a lot more, although I remember liking "Wannagirl" more at the time.

Jeremy Joran was in the Drew Barrymore film "Never Been Kissed."

I think this song was putrid. "Right Kind Of Love" was alright but his punkish cute boy image didn't work for me

Slinky, I can remember the chorus pretty well: "I want a girl like you To be with me tonight I wanna kiss your lips And hold you close If that's all right."
If that isn't it, word for word, I've gotta be damn close.
I thought both his songs were rather ungood; in fact, I hated them at the time, being 12. I haven't heard "Wannagirl," presumably since the CT40 year-end countdown, but I heard "The Right Kind of Love" in 1995 and maybe one other time since then.

Him and Joey Lawrence are two obvious cases of people who managed to have at least one sizable hit when the music landscape was anything but friendly to their brand of cookie-cutter teen-pop.

Decent but not my cup of tea. I found out that this was played on B96 when I was younger yet I don't remember it at all. Like Joey Lawrence's pop hit from that same year, this song seems to be an awkward place as teen pop type tracks were not that big in the early-to-mid 90s (post NKTOB/Tiffany/Debbie Gibson and pre Backstreet Boys/N'Sync/Britney Spears/etc.). music video youtu.be/LB3DDv46-Vw

Wow did anyone know Trey Lorenz (infamous backing singer for Mariah Carey) did this first?
It was the b-side to his "Someone to Hold" single in Europe.
