Since this is the nostalgia thread, I thought it would be cool to create a thread designed for YOU to post a song or songs that remind you of WHATEVER!
I have so many, but I'll start off with Twista's "Overnight Celebrity". I was in 8th grade at the time, and I was "going out" (aka the most overused phrase of the 8th grade year) with this girl. This song was on the radio during the peak of our "relationship"...was played at the place where we and some friends used to hand out. It reminds me of the atmosphere and I can smell the place that we used to go to just thinking about the song (sorry to sound weird). It also sorta reminds me of the start of Wired aka Wild 96.5 in Philly with the wierd promos and sweepers it used to have.
Anyone else have a nostalgiac song that they would like to share with the class?

OMG...certain songs remind me of certain things too!! Like Madonna's "Frozen" reminds me of a time when i was in about 2nd or 3rd grade, and i was riding my aunt's, who is a busdriver, bus, and i remember hearing it on this certain rode. Now, whenever i hear that song, i think of this place, and vice versa.

Whenever I hear "Just The Way You Are" by Milky, "Something (in that horrid original mix)" by Lasgo and "Until The Day" by Funky Green Dogs, I am reminded of my high school "Grad Nite" at Disneyland in Anaheim. It was like 2AM on a Friday towards the end of May (the Friday before Memorial Day in 2003) and they were blasting all this music all over the park. Amid all the current stuff like "Jenny From The Block", "Dirrty", "Where The Party At", "My Neck, My Back", a bunch of these dance tracks were being played. And it just felt great. I had a lovely time at Disneyland, and these songs, plus many of the others I had heard while there take me back to one of the happier times in my life.

I got more...
Le Click - Tonight is the Night
This reminds me of playing volleyball tornaments in gym class earlier this year. The gym teachers played music through the big speakers in the room, and one particular CD they played a few times had this song on it. Other people in my class seemed to remember / know it, sicne they were singing along to it, lol.
DJ Encore - I See Right Through You
I had gone on a mission trip (We went to Cookvile, TN and fixed peoples houses) with the youth group I used to go to in church about 2 years ago. To take along with me on the ride, I brought My CD player with a CD case filled with all kinds of stuff: Derek's Mix 2 (lol), Britney's In The Zone album, Source's Hip Hop Hits Vol 8, and a dance party CD. On that dnace party CD was this one, and the whole reason why had bought this CD 2 weeks before becuase "I See Right Through You" was on there. I listened to the song like ALOT on the bus ride down and back. Although, many other songs remind me of that trip like the remix to Me Against the Music and Kevin Little's Turn Me On (this song wasn't on any of my CD's, but it was played ALOT of the radio station down htere at the time). But ISRTY definetly is the main song that defined that trip for me.

There isn't one song that I could listen to without having it remind me of a certain time and place in my life.

There isn't one song that I could listen to without having it remind me of a certain time and place in my life. Many times that's half the reason that I like a song. For example: I really don't like like a lot of that late-1990s Bad Boy Records material from Puff Daddy and Mase. But everytime I hear that stuff, it reminds me of fun times in school. So, I still like to hear it every now and then.

"Two Princes" by the Spin Doctors reminds me when of the time not too long after I met Chris, the woman who eventually became my girlfriend. You all probably know the story of my aunt passing away from cancer a well over a year ago. Anyhow, my mom and grandmother drove up to be there during her last days and one night, I drove the car from the hotel we were staying over to the hospital. When I was about to leave the hospital, Chris was leaving to, so I asked her if she wanted a ride. "Two Princes" come on and we were reminiscing a little bit about the old days.

"Iris" by The Goo Goo Dolls gives me flashbacks to the final 2 months of 1998- when I was 7 and had a rather exciting two months.
"Counting Blue Cars" by Dishwalla reminds me of the first day of kindergarten (Sept. 1996).
"Far Away" reminds me of my first week on tenth grade at my new school.
"What's my age again?" by Blink-182 reminds me of a doctor's appointment from 1999 (I was 7 or 8)
And of course, if I ever want to remember the nightmare 1996 vacation, I just have to listen to "When I come around" by Green Day and the whole week comes back to me. :o

Listening to all classic rock reminds me that music began to suck the year I was born.

Diddy's "Last Night" reminds me of 1997.
Why?!?!?!?, you ask?
Take a closer look at Keyshia Cole's lyrics in the first verse.
If I told you once, I told you twice You can see it in my eyes I'm all cried out with nothing to say You're everything I wanted to be If you could only see, your heart belongs to me I love you so much, I'm yearning for your touch Come and set me free, forever yours I'll be Baby won't you come take this pain away?
All those phrases in blue are titles to hits from 1997... ish.
"All Cried Out" by Allure "If You Could Only See" by Tonic "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain
