Anyone remember this hit back in 97? I had no idea at the time what the lyrics meant, let alone what they actually were, but it was really catchy and simple. Supposedly you have to be familiar with Indian cinema to be able to interpret it. This was a huge hit in their native UK and the US (I don't know where it peaked). They pretty much disappeared after this hit big, but they're still together as a band with newer material. Hot Fatboy Slim remix: s5.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=A3480B00C2A82D4557F35A653021D7CB

I think a few of their other songs went for adds, but "Brimful of Asha" is the only one that broke through. Great song! There were some references to records ("45"), but I couldn't really make out any of the other references.

I remember this song. I heard it when I was in India in 1997. The video was really cool too. The Fatboy Slim Remix got a lot of play on the college and rock stations in SF.

The original version was more than OK, but Fatboy Slim definitely improved it.
